Chebrolu is a small village in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, and once a famous Buddhist site and served as the capital city of the Kakatiya dynasty. Chebrolu Chaturmukha Brahmalingeshwara Swamy Temple also known as Chebrolu Temple is one of the famous temples dedicated to Lord Shiva and Lord Brahma. Chebrolu Temple is one of the oldest temples and it’s one of the few unique temples for Brahma Deva with four faces. The specialty of this temple is Lord Brahma is worshiped along with Lord Shiva. Chebrolu Brahma temple was built about 200 years ago. The temple was built approximately 200 years ago by Raja Vasireddy Venkatadri Naidu. As per the Legends, Sage Bhrugu cursed Brahma that he will not be worshipped during Kaliyuga. Hence, there are no temples for Lord Brahma on the Earth. Temple at Chebrolu is surrounded by water on the sides with a pathway in the middle. Brahma was engraved on the four sides of the Linga. This Linga is called by Chatrurmukha Brahma Lingeswara. Sahasra Lingeswara, Veerabadhra, Nageswara, and Bhimeswara shrines are located nearby to this temple.
