We’re kicking things off right back in the fields today as we get ready for what’s shaping up to be an absolutely massive Year 5 harvest! It’s been a busy few weeks here on the MEGA Farm as we’ve been hard at work getting all 1,200 acres of crops ready for the upcoming season, and today we’ve got a lot of ground to cover — literally. If you caught the last episode, you’ll know we recently made a huge upgrade to our fertilizing lineup with the purchase of two brand new Fast AG 60-foot Nutrient Applicators, and so far, these things have been performing flawlessly. We’ve been running them non-stop as we side dress our Corn fields, giving our crops that final boost of nutrients they need before harvest. Right now, we’re finishing up the headlands on our first Corn field — roughly 250 acres — and once that’s complete, we’ll be loading up and heading down the road to our biggest field on the farm: the 300-acre Corn field! Over at that 300-acre field, our John Deere R4045 sprayer has just wrapped up the final round of Herbicide spraying. That officially marks the end of Herbicide season here on the MEGA Farm — over 1,200 acres covered in total! With Herbicide behind us, it’s time to switch gears. I’ll be swapping over the sprayer to help out with the Fertilizer application so we can get our Canola and Barley fields fertilized one final time before harvest. We’ve got a 250-acre Canola field and a 200-acre Barley field that both need their final Fertilizer pass, and I want to get that wrapped up before the weather starts to turn. Once I get our new Fast AG applicators moved over to the big 300-acre field, I’ll be setting both of them up with Courseplay to start side dressing that field while I jump into the R4045 to begin spraying Fertilizer over on the Canola field. Meanwhile, we’ll also be running a couple of semi trucks back and forth between the fields and the farm with our two Fertilizer tenders to make sure both operations stay fully supplied throughout the day. It’s going to be a busy one — with two major operations running at once, timing and efficiency are key. Our main focus for today is simple: finish off all the fertilizing for Year 5 and get every last field ready for harvest. Once that’s done, the plan is to start preparing the equipment lineup for the biggest part of the season — harvest time. Before long, the combines will be rolling, the grain carts will be moving, and the trucks will be hauling non-stop across these 1,200 acres of crops. We’ve got a lot to do before that happens though — so let’s fire up the engines, get those applicators rolling, and keep this MEGA Farm running full throttle! Thanks for watching!!
