The Pines family meets their first real rival when Li’l Gideon rolls into town with his Tent of Telepathy. What starts as a goofy mystery quickly turns uncomfortable when Gideon becomes obsessed with Mabel, forcing her into a situation she clearly doesn’t want to be in. This ended up being my favorite episode yet. It’s a lot of fun, the jokes really land, and the episode moves fast while still giving the characters solid moments to shine. This is my first time watching Gravity Falls Episode 4, breaking down the comedy, character moments, story development, and why this episode stood out so much for me.
