Resilient Roots ~ Inspiring & Enabling People to be Good Caretakers of the Earth

Executive Director Kristie Kapp of Resilient Roots, a nonprofit on Cape Cod, shares the history, mission, and vision of Resilient Roots with the goal empowering people to be good caretakers of the earth by sowing nature-based gardening practices throughout the community. They look to natural ecosystems as their model to show people how to grow food organically and to create landscapes including incorporating edible and native plants that regenerate our ecosystem's health. Resilient Roots offers design services, workshops, permablitzes, hosts events, and has a multitude of volunteer opportunities including Habitat for Humanity Landscape Installations. They have a garden at Fuller Farm in Marstons Mills, MA which serves as their demonstration site that enables locals to see permaculture in action and leave with inspiration and knowledge. Open to the public, the garden shows an alternative way of landscaping that includes edible and native plants combined to support and harmonize with nature.
