#restoration #cabinet #inlay Hey if you want to support me, you can become my patreon or invite me for a virtual beer: Paypal: paypal.me/NTRBeer Patreon: / notterriblerestorations Hello all, I found an old closet on the street. In my city you put things, you no longer need in front of the door and only when no one can use it, you finally throw it in the trash. I saw the rotten, antique cabinet and immediately thought that I would like to do a make over for it. I urgently need a tool cabinet for all my tools from the lathe, so I go for the cabinet rescue mission. As always, I first disassembled everything so that I could look at each individual part and refurbish it. The old varnish has already peeled off a lot. I remove it with paint stripper. After gluing the broken front and back, I apply a mahogany veneer to the cabinet door and finish it with a unknown woodworking technique: I cast a tin inlay into the front. The resulting look is very reminiscent of Art Nouveau. I finish a new handle with a soldering iron. With this wood burning technique, the handle receives the channel logo. After grinding and nickel plating all metal parts, I can screw my new tool cabinet together again. As a beer I have tested this time a Stella Artois and I can reveal that it tasted very good. I hope you have once again fun with the restoration video. If you want to support the channel, please like, share and subscribe.
