Its story time ! J.D. Salinger. 1955. My insta is https://www.instagram.com/_dietcool_/... if you want it. Raise High the Roof Beam, Carpenters is narrated by Buddy Glass. He is the second of the Glass brothers. He describes his visit on army leave in 1942 during WW II so he can attend his brother Seymour's wedding, where he will marry Muriel. However, Seymour does not show up to the wedding. The rest takes place in a crowded car leaving the site of the wedding, with a furious Matron of Honor, her confident husband Robert, Muriel's father's deaf-mute uncle or "the tiny eldery man"(Buddy's favorite) and Helen Silsburn, a polite middle aged woman. Neither of them know he is Seymour's brother. Later they go to Buddy's apartment to cool off from the intense heat of the day. Seymour: An Introduction 2:08:54 is written by a 40 year old Buddy Glass from his secluded home in the woods. His stream of consciousness tells the reader as much as he can remember about Seymour who is now long dead, committed suicide in 1948 in a hotel room in Florida in the ending of short story (A Perfect Day for Bananafish).
