Hi here's a short video discussing and demonstrating a tai chi training technique called silk reeling. This is a good beginner exercise. The exercise helps develop Qi flow, builds a strong foundation and trains the body to move as a whole. The exercise involves and singe step and then one continuous movement with the arm. Training tips: Remain relaxed throughout Breathe in as you draw the arm inward, and breathe out as you push away from the body. (Breath in as you draw back, breath out as you move forward) Eyes gently gaze at the motion of the hand. Breathe through the nose, using your diaphragm. Use the waist and hips to move the Dan Tien from side to side. The focus should be on moving your attention from fingers to DanTien as you breathe in and from Dan Tien to fingers/palm as you breathe out. Train your body to automatically follow the principles so that you can forget about them and just be.
