On 26th September watch the Live stream of the Valedictory function of the first Vedanta Sadhaka Course (VSC). Pujya Swami Swaroopanandaji, Global Head Chinmaya Mission, will be presiding over the concluding ceremony and bless the 60 students from 11 different countries. The students have completed the one year intensive residential course in the precincts of Adi Sankara Nilayam, Kerala under the guidance of Acharyas Swami Advayananda and Swami Sharadananda Sarasvati. Special invitees for the Valedictory are: Swami Viviktananda (Regional Head Chinmaya Mission Kerala), Prof. Ajay Kapoor (Vice Chancellor Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth), Prof. Gauri Mahulikar (Academic Director CIF) among others. About VSC: The Vedanta Sadhaka Course (VSC), a Chinmaya Mission initiative, commenced in October 2021 with its first batch, at the sacred precincts of Adi Sankara Nilyam, the maternal ancestral birth home of Sri Adi Shankaracharya, the abode of Chinmaya International Foundation (CIF) and Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth (CVV). The VSC was offered as a Diploma/Post Graduate Diploma on Advaita Vedanta by the Chinmaya University. This intensive one year course focused on learning, reflection and sadhana under the guidance of the Course Acharyas Swami Advayananda and Swami Sharadananda Sarasvati. The Course is designed at providing the participants a crystal clear understanding of Advaita Vedanta through the thorough study of various Prakarana Granthas, the entire Bhagavad Gita and a few Upanishads. Srimad Bhagavatam, Ramayana, the essentials of Hinduism (Sanatana-dharma-parichaya), Sanskrit, the Vedic Suktas, Meditation, Havanas, Pujas, Bhajans and various devotional practices, were also part of the curriculum. Altogether the Vedanta Sadhaka Course is a complete and wholesome programme for one’s spiritual unfoldment.
