Batman Arkham Knight could have easily been the greatest Batman game ever made had Rocksteady ironed out their story beyond the first draft. So many elements of the story made zero sense and in all, for me, it just kinda sucked. My goal with this rewrite that separates it from my previous one is that I am attempting to make a brand new story that feels like a true finale to the Arkham franchise by carrying on the story of the previous two games, while also adding more lore to the overall narrative. One of my biggest problems with Arkham Knight is that, except for a couple references to Arkham City and a cutscene taking place in the Asylum, it really doesn't feel like an Arkham game narratively because it doesn't tie anything in from the previous games. So for this rewrite, I wanted to use most of the characters in the original game, but make them feel like themselves and actually flesh out their personalities unlike than the original game did.
