Canadian law has quickly evolved. Please see the March, 20, 2022 video by Dr. Green on this same subject. Hear Dr. Stefanie Green, Medical Aid in Dying provider from Victoria, Canada tell us about Canada's far more liberal rules than the United States' regarding Medical Aid in Dying. Dr. Green is co-founder and current President of the Canadian Association of MAID Assessors and Providers (CAMAP) and medical advisor to the BC Ministry of Health MAID. How Canada does aid in dying better and how it is different from any state in the United States: -Euthanasia (doctor administered versus self-administration) -Have a grievous and irremediable medical condition (not a six month or less terminal diagnosis) -In some provinces, a doctor is required to be present, even if the patient chooses self-administration (very few choose this method) over doctor-administered. This meeting was recorded in Nov., 2019. Canada is still in the process of refining their laws (each province administers the law, so the rules are somewhat different in different provinces.)
