Dr Ahmed Abbas is Currently a registrar of anaesthesia, paediatrics intensive care and pain medicine in Crumlin Hospital. He was graduated from Mansoura University in 2005. He earned a master degree in anaesthesia at Ain Shams University, 2011. Dr Abbas worked in many tertiary hospitals in Egypt, KSA and Ireland in the field of anaesthesia, intensive care and pain medicine. he has a special interest in acute and chronic pain management. He has one year of training in pain medicine in Cork University hospital. He Passed the Irish diploma in pain medicine In this lecture, he elaborated thoroughly about postoperative pain and how it changed to chronic surgical pain.
