Located about 3 hours drive from Kigali to the North West of the country is a picturesque city Gisenyi, situated on the northern shore of the great Kivu Lake in Rwanda. The city Gisenyi lies at the base of the Virunga Mountains, a range of volcanoes that includes the country's 2 famous Mountains contributing to the region's lush landscape. Aside from the lake and the views, I learnt the coffee produced on these hills is renowned for its quality and is exported to international markets. One of the main attractions of Gisenyi in Rwanda is its natural beauty. The city is known for its stunning views of Lake Kivu, with its clear blue waters and lush green hills in the background.
