We joined forces with Ruinart Champagne to bring a culinary first to Belfast. The exclusive Ruinart Champagne Upside Down Dinner Experience brought guests on a gastronomic journey, with exquisite food and Champagne pairings, served alongside an unexpected twist. The decadent six-course menu surprised and delighted guests with an array of innovative dishes that were, ‘not quite what they seem’. The decadent menu, devised by The Merchant’s executive chef, John-Paul Leake, served what appeared to be – at first glance - petit fours, coffee and dessert courses, when in reality they were savoury appetisers, amuse-bouche, starter and main courses, followed by a dessert that appeared to be a main course.
