Hatvan (Hottwan) - railway city tour and orthodox Christmas city vlog - Hungary (Magyarország)🇭🇺 🚂🚝 I.M.OGames2017 - We were visiting Hatvan (Hottwan), the old town in Heves county and in the neighbourhood of the current working place of Ognjen-the Black hawk Jászberény. We started our visit from railway station of Hatvan, which is really important; because it is connected with all the important cities in Hungary (Budapest, Szolnok and Eger) and it is really old - dating back from austro-hungarian emperor Ferenz Jozsef time and the year 1867. It is one of the oldest train stations in Europe. After that we were heading to old fabric of vehicles (buses, cars and trucks), which dated back in the year of 1902. (It represents great example of german romanticism in hungarian architecture). Not so far from there we got to Kristaly Kastély, abandoned castle from 1906 made in historicism and neo-gothic and romanticism; which reminds on castle of count Dracula from Transilvania, Romania. A really great haunted castles with two big medieval westworks is really impressive to see. From there we got to main bus station and visited strange tower on station, which was built as armory and weaponry in the Second World war. Than through park we got to city, where we mention basketball club Hatvan and Szolnok, from where we got to the city center, where we have visited the highlight of Hatvan - Grassalkovich mansion (now Szechenyi Zsigmond Hunting Museum) - , the most beatiful baroque palace, built for Grassalkovich royal family from 18th century (1770. year). Through the main town square from the same century we got to main city hall of Hatvan (Város Háza) built to be reminiscence of great hungarian rulers. She was built in the spirit of town halls in Italy (Tuscan region) - Siena and Florence. We have finished our visit to Hatvan with Saint Adalbert church (baroque church from the time of Marie Theresie) and through the street Lajosh Koshut utca got to the typical hungarian green building from the period of the end of 19. century and the begining of the 20. century.
