Experiment: Ronald Ross performed experiments and found that mosquitoes are involved in the transmission of plasmodium and spread of malaria. He used female anopheles mosquitoes, female culex mosquitoes, and sparrows for the experiments on plasmodium transmission. Results: Results showed that mosquitoes are responsible for the transmission of plasmodium. In this lecture the difference between anopheles and culex mosquitoes has also been discussed.
