A journey to go home. As the year comes to a close and the Covid-19 lock-down period comes to an end for most, there is finally a chance for family and friends to re-unite after 2 years apart. I finally got to participate in the Angkor Wat Half Marathon run that I'd been planning to do for years. It's entirely coincidence that the chance has presented itself now. The Charity Organisation that I helped out with (Engineering Good) organized a fund-raising initiative to go to Siem Reap for this half marathon event. We travelled in a group of around ten, visited local NGOs, toured the ancient temples and learned about the history and heritage of the Khmer people, all of whom treated us with great friendship, hospitality and offered us amazing local cuisine. All of these wonderful memories and friendships will become unforgettable experiences.
