Susan Knapp was born and raised in Adelaide Australia. After finishing University in Australia, she came to Kenya as a supervisor on a teenage exchange program. Upon touch down she fell in love with the country. Beginning her teaching career in Kenya in the 90’s Susan then adopted two children as babies and later had two of her own. Susan has lived and worked in Qatar, Malaysia, Rwanda and Australia but even when not in Kenya, her heart always was. In 2019 she and her children built two schools in resource poor communities in Kenya whilst being based in Australia. Post covid Susan decided she needed to raise her two youngest with African values and with three suitcases and her undying love for Kenya she relocated to Nairobi where they are currently based. Susan is an author, educator, consultant and artist manager who believes Kenya holds the answers to the worlds problems. Ty Talks aspires to inspire the current and future generations by telling the stories of successful people who have made it to the top of their careers, in different vocations.
