Beset by delays, death, injury, contract diputes and erased tapes, this record took over one year to complete. Luckily, the end product isn’t nearly as chaotic as the process to create it! The original pressings have always been considered very good with their being mastered by Robert Ludwig, Mastered at Masterdisk and plated at EDP. The 2023 Universal/Geffen Re-Issue uses Bernie Grundman’s remastering magic but taken to a Hi-Res Digital tape and provided to Alex Abrash for mastering to vinyl.
