Poetry Hour Ananda Devi, Era Tak, K Satchidanandan, Jerry Pinto moderated by Anukrti Upadhyay A series of multivocal poetry readings where different languages, rhythms and styles converge in a joyous celebration of imaginative possibility. Presented by Red FM Ananda Devi:- who has a literary career spanning more than four decades, is considered an important voice in the French literary world, using a poetic style and sensuous language to depict the harsh and violent realities of her own country, Mauritius, as well as other countries, such as India, from which her ancestors originate, and the UK. She is published by the major French publishers, is translated in a dozen languages and has received numerous awards, as well as decorations from the Mauritian and French States. She has published more than twenty-five books, including novels, poetry, short-stories and essays. Era Tak:- is a writer, filmmaker and painter. She has written poetry books titled Anchua Khwaab, Mere Priye and Canvas par Dhoop, short story collections like Raat Paheli, Chand Pass hai, novels such as Risk @Ishq, Murti and Love Drug and audio novels/stories too. She has composed dialogues for the musical play Aaorhi. Tak’s works as a filmmaker include the short films Even the Child Knows, Flirting Mania, W Turn and Rainbow. She is also a Bollywood scriptwriter. K Satchidanandan:- President of the Kerala Sahitya Akademi, is a bilingual poet, critic, playwright, editor, fiction writer and travel writer. He has been a Professor of English and of Translation Studies, , editor of Indian Literature bimonthly and Beyond Borders , a SAARC literature quarterly, the executive head of the National Academy of Letters, invited National fellow at the Indian Institute of Advanced Studies, Shimla, He has thirty-two collections of poetry in Malayalam, ten in English, seven in Hindi, and thirty collections in other languages including Arabic, Irish, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Chinese and Japanese besides all major Indian languages. He has won sixty one literary awards - including the National Academy award, Dante Medal from Italy, and the Poet Laureate Award from Tata Literature Festival.
