The involved officers began CPR according to body camera footage released Tuesday by the Alameda Police.The incident happened on April 19, leading to the death of Mario Arenales Gonzalez, 26, and is under investigation by the county and the city. The victim's family lawyer accuses the police of releasing misleading information about the incident.The cause of Arenales' death is still under investigation.On April 19 around 10:45 a.m. , Alameda police officers responded to separate reports about a man who appeared to be under the influence and about a suspect in a possible theft.Alameda police authorities initially release a statement saying: Officers attempted to detain the man, and a physical altercation ensued, the man had a medical emergency and died after being transported to a hospital.On April 23, the city of Alameda announced it hired an attorney to also initiate an investigation.The three officers involved in the incident, James Fisher, Cameron Leahy and Eric McKinley have been placed on paid administrative leave, during the ongoing investigations.
