We Are Building A House in the Woods | Breaking Ground on Our Homestead

Welcome Back to the Channel ya Kookz! First off sorry about the video quality I has some issues with my GoPro and had to use my phone to shoot some content and forgot to turn the resolution up so some of the footage is a lower res and a bit crunchy. Today is a big day we have made a lot of progress in this video but there is a lot more to accomplish. We are officially breaking ground on the Kookz/Spot X Ranch. This video is all about clearing brush/trees and tree limbs to prep the site for a 30 x 60 foundation. I got a bunch of quotes for this work ranging anywhere from $15K to $3K for this project. That is why it is so important to call out multiple contractors and get quotes from them. It doesn't coast you anything to get a quote from contractors so might as well have as many as you can come out to your property and give you an estimate on how much it will cost. In order to save as much money as possible I will be taking on as much work as I can handle. All I need for this to get done is two 40V Litheli electric chainsaws and a utility trailer that I will be towing around with my Subaru Outback 2.5i. Not the most ideal work vehicle but in order to squeeze all the delicious lemonade I can, I'm going to make due with what I have. I have already put in a lot of sweat equity into this project and there will be many more videos of me sweating and working my butt off this summer under the New Mexico sunshine. We will be back to uploading weekly and sometimes bi-weekly as we have a lot of work to do to get this house ready for the baby which will be popping out sometime in late July 2024.
