No one likes a lazy manager. So, how do you know if you’re being one? Here are three signs you need to make changes: 1. Being late to meetings or canceling altogether. Take note if you’re showing up 5, 10 minutes late, missing meetings altogether, or canceling one-on-ones. Show up on time, and show up prepared. 2. Refusal to ask questions about your own leadership. You should be asking yourself, often, questions about your own leadership and management style, and see where you might be falling short. Otherwise, you risk stagnation. 3. Offloading instead of delegating. You shouldn’t delegate tasks that you simply don’t feel like doing. Delegate the act of determining who is best for a job, and empower that person to do it effectively. These are three traits of very lazy leaders.
