The Word Association Test is conducted after the Thematic Apperception Test (TAT), in the series of Psychological Tests at SSB on Day 2. It is a quick test that lasts for 15 minutes, hence it is important to practice it well in advance. What is WAT? WAT is a test of personality and thoughts in which candidates are required to write a sentence based on the word given. It includes 60 words that appear one after the other for 15 seconds on a projector screen. The word can be used in different ways like antonyms or other verb forms. Procedure of WAT: ~ 60 words would be shown one by one. ~ Each word will appear for only 15 seconds. ~ The candidates has to read the word and write appropriate sentences at the same time. ~ There will be no gap between two simultaneous words. ~ The words can be positive or negative. ~ The duration of WAT is 15 minutes.
