Chief of Arthroplasty and Adult Reconstruction - Brigham and Women's Hospital - MA Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery, Harvard Medical School Orthopaedic Surgery Today we are delighted to present a preview of our interview with Antonia Chen. She has achieved much in a very short time, with a bewildering career trajectory. She is currently an Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School and the new Chief of Arthroplasty and Adult Reconstruction at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Previously she was the Associate Director of Research at the Rothman Institute in Philadelphia, an Associate Professor at Sidney Kimmel Medical College, and the Director of Medical Education Curriculum, Musculoskeletal Studies at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College and Thomas Jefferson University. Her journey started with her BS from Yale University and her MD from Rutgers Medical School, where she graduated with Distinction in Research and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. If that wasn't enough, Antonia received her MBA from Rutgers Business School and is a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society. She then completed her orthopaedic residency at the University of Pittsburgh and her fellowship in hip and knee arthroplasty at the Rothman Institute. She is on the editorial board of 8 journals, and was the president of the Musculoskeletal Infection Society. She has authored over 200 publications, 40 book chapters, and 2 books, has won multiple research awards, and has presented all over the world. All of above becomes even more impressive when you factor in that one of her favourite weekend activities is sleeping in until mid-morning.
