Everyone said that if I washed eggs, they wouldn’t hatch! I got about a 40% hatch rate from these super dirty eggs, not bad for geese! The normal hatch rate for geese is about 50%. I washed the dirt off and dipped them all in a bleach water solution before putting them in the incubator. After that, every other day I put a few squirts of 3% hydrogen peroxide inside the incubator up until lockdown to help cut down on bacteria growth. At the end of hatching I ended up with 3/7 of the eggs hatching. I want to add since I forgot it in the video, that I’ve been mixing some nutritional yeast in with their feed to help up their niacin intake.
