I already published two videos disassembling a Tascam Portastudio 414 Mk II (the blue one). In this video I gloss over many aspects of the tear down to focus on the minor differences between the generations of 414 - if you need a more detailed guide to taking apart your OG 414, you will find most of the information you need in my 414 Mk II videos (links below) Apart from the grey plastic case, the 414 is very similar to the Mark two.
