This 2-hour immersive compilation is filled with unaccompanied (a cappella) psalm singing and early hymns, drawn from medieval, Renaissance, and Reformation-era worship across Scotland. Visually, you’ll be travelling through time: every image is of a Scottish abbey, priory, or cathedral built before 1600. Ruined cloisters, ancient stone naves, Reformation pulpits, weathered graves. Almost every major medieval church site in Scotland is included. What you’ll hear: • Traditional Scottish psalm singing in pure a cappella style • Texts and melodies that would have been known in the late medieval church and early Reformation • Early metrical psalms and devotional song • Find all these recordings on my Soundcloud: / connorq What you’ll see: • Melrose Abbey, Iona Abbey, Elgin Cathedral, St Andrews Cathedral, and many more iconic pre-1600 sites • Gothic arches, high towers, ruined chancels — Scotland’s sacred architecture before the Kirk Bonus challenge: For fun, I’ve hidden: • 1–2 more modern songs • 1–2 Scottish churches that were built after 1600 Can you spot them? Drop a timestamp in the comments if you catch one 👇 If you love sacred history, Reformation music, Gaelic/Scots worship tradition, or just beautiful ruined stone in moody Scottish light — this is for you.
