I Will Follow” Voices rising, questions fly, “Show a sign up in the sky!” Hearts are hard, they just don’t see, Truth is standing in front of me. Storm is coming, faith is tried, Crowds are watching from every side, But in my heart I know the sound— The living King is standing now! Who do you say He is? That’s the question burning in me. You are the Christ, the Son of God, That’s my shout of victory! Opposition all around, Still my feet stay on this ground! I will follow, I won’t turn, Even when the bridges burn! Take my cross and walk His way, Lose my life to find His grace, What’s the world if I lose my soul? Jesus, You are my only goal! Little lies like hidden yeast, Grow so slow, then never cease, Guard my heart, keep it clean, Keep my faith alive and free. Even friends may disagree, Love may speak but not yet see, God’s great plan goes through the pain, Through the cross comes life again! Get behind me, doubt and fear! You won’t steal my vision here! Through the shadow, through the flame, Resurrection wins the game! Opposition makes me strong, This is where I still belong! If I lose the world today, I still have the narrow way!
