Greetings from sunny South Africa! In this week’s video, we show you why Augrabies Is A Hidden Gem!! Augrabies is such a beautiful area with amazing landscapes and quite a few fun activities to get up to. No one ever told us how amazing the Northern Cape is! We never realised what a gem it was until we went exploring there for the first time. It is located right on the banks of the Orange River. Each campsite is a stand-alone unit with individual kitchen and bathroom facilities. If you are not feeling adventurous enough for camping they also offer fully furnished tented chalets. They produce fruits such as table grapes, nectarines, oranges, peaches, grapefruits, and many more. Literally everywhere you look, you will see shade clothed orchards and vineyards. Let's get back to our special location for the day. Khamkirri is an amazing lodge that offers a number of accommodation options including camping facilities. They are situated right on the banks of the Orange River with an incredible restaurant and bar that's deck literally stretches out into the water. They offer a number of exciting activities such as kayaking, white water rafting, and many more. This magnificent waterfall plummets 60 meters down into the gorge which averages 240 meters deep and runs for 18km. As you explore the park you can be on the lookout for wildlife such as klipspringers, jackals, gemsbok, kudu, eland, leopards, and African wild cats. where the mighty orange river is at its most impressive as it thunders its way through a ravine and cascades down into a pool walled by sheer granite, 56m below Our tips for visiting this region: ◾Do a bit of research before arriving at the particular area you will be staying in.
