As a lifelong Elvis fan, I've always admired his music but never delved deep into his life story. While this movie may not be flawless, what struck me was its departure from the conventional rock star biopic. Instead, it's a film with a poignant soul, portraying a tragic character that could stand on its own as a unique and original creation. It revolves around a codependent relationship that entraps the protagonist—a dream turned into a snare, where the very person he trusted most becomes the jailer. My belief is that even though the Colonel (and others) may have confined Elvis the human, his voice and spirit have forever remained unshackled.
