Brave First Page! Abstract Florals in My Buku Art Journal

In this video, I finally dive into the beautiful handmade Buku Art Journal gifted to me by Luz Artworks, created by her talented friend Meta in the Netherlands. I’ve been hesitant to begin, not wanting to mess it up—but today, I pushed past that fear and created a mixed media spread featuring loose, abstract roses. Using Kuretake Gansai watercolors, tempera paint sticks, stencils from Stencil Girl and Joggles, and a touch of gold, I let the page evolve organically. I also started with a curated color palette from The Color Cube to help guide my choices.
