#sultanpuri #mangolpuri #Nangloi #delhicrime #Delhipolice In areas like Sultanpuri, Mangolpuri, and Nangloi in Delhi, crime is no longer just news—it is becoming a frightening routine. As night falls, it doesn’t bring silence but a sense of danger. People prefer to stay indoors because no one knows what might happen outside. Under this shadow of fear, the night of March 17 witnessed yet another shocking incident that shook the entire locality. For 45-year-old Rajinder, a resident of Sultanpuri, that night turned out to be his last. According to reports, Rajinder was returning home from work as usual. The street was dimly lit, and a group of young men standing nearby already seemed suspicious. As Rajinder passed by them, a verbal altercation suddenly broke out. Within moments, the situation escalated, and the men surrounded him. In a matter of seconds, a knife was pulled out, and what followed was brutal. The attackers stabbed Rajinder repeatedly in the abdomen. His screams echoed, but out of fear, no one stepped forward to help. After committing the crime, the assailants fled the scene, leaving Rajinder lying in a pool of blood. Local residents somehow gathered the courage to rush him to Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital, but it was too late. Doctors declared him dead. A family lost its sole support forever. As soon as the police at Sultanpuri police station received information about the incident, they sprang into action. Given the seriousness of the case, an immediate investigation was launched. CCTV footage was scanned, local inquiries were conducted, and technical surveillance was used. Within a few hours, police arrested two main accused—Raj (23) and Karan (23). Additionally, two juveniles involved in the crime were also taken into custody. During interrogation, shocking revelations emerged. Initial investigation suggests that the attack resulted from a sudden dispute, but police are also probing whether there was any prior enmity between them. All accused are currently in custody, and further investigation is underway. However, this incident raises a serious question once again—has the fear of law vanished in these areas? Despite multiple claims, drug abuse continues, and unemployment along with bad influences is pushing youth toward crime. Taking someone’s life over minor disputes is becoming increasingly common. This incident in Sultanpuri is not just a murder; it is a story of fear that continues to grow in several parts of Delhi. And unless the root cause of this fear is addressed, such tragic stories will keep repeating.
