Deep Meditation. A Tribute to Benoit Mandelbrot. Music composed in 1990 by Arthur Stammet. Fractals rendered with Fractal Extreme in 2012 by Arthur Stammet. Movie realized in May 2012 by Arthur Stammet. This movie uses three very deep zooms in a standard Mandelbrot Fractal and tries to explore infinity in a mathematical universe. The choice for a color palette, reduced to the three fundamental colors of the RGB color-space, places this meditative work into its real - I mean mathematical and technical - context and adds depth to the movie: depth of the animation using pictures, which are deeply digging around intense Red, Green and Blue in order to reveal typical Mandelbrot-structures and -mandalas. The soundtrack, which has been composed for a ballet, called "Incandescences", which has been created in the Theatre of Esch-sur-Alzette (L) in January 1990, consists in a very long, slowly morphing sound evolution, an infinitely calm, very slightly changing soundscape, organized around two "explosions".
