Welcome to my latest trip report! In this video, I’ll take you aboard a Wizz Air Airbus A321neo for a flight from Rome Fiumicino (LIRF) to Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport (LHBP). After a long delay and a flight cancellation the day before, I finally rebooked on the morning flight, and this time, everything went smoothly. Flying on Wizz Air’s modern Airbus A321-271NX, registered as HA-LZN, the aircraft was just over a year old and performed excellently throughout the 1-hour 22-minute journey. We departed slightly behind schedule at 09:26 LT from Rome but arrived right on time in Budapest at 10:55 LT. Cruising at 34,000 feet, we enjoyed a smooth ride with beautiful clear skies, no turbulence, and great visibility the entire way. In this flight report, I’ll give you a detailed look at the in-flight experience, including seat comfort, the cabin layout, and how the airline handled the delayed departure. Whether you're interested in Wizz Air’s A321neo fleet or simply looking for a trip report of a short-haul European flight, this video covers everything from pre-departure to touchdown. Despite the initial hiccups with the flight delay and cancellation, the rescheduled flight itself was a pleasant experience. If you're flying with Wizz Air, or just want to learn more about short-haul flights across Europe, this report will give you an in-depth look. [Compensation] If your flight is delayed or cancelled, don’t worry—you might be entitled to compensation! In this video, I explain how I managed to secure €500 (€250 each for me and my wife) after a frustrating experience with Wizz Air. When our flight was delayed for over 4 hours and eventually cancelled, no one at the airport could help us. We were sent back and forth between different desks with no clear answers. Finally, we had to call Wizz Air twice to get any assistance. The first representative wasn’t helpful at all, but on our second call, a very helpful lady rebooked us on the next available flight the following morning. Since I prefer not to fly overnight due to low visibility, she kindly arranged a morning flight and made sure we had a window seat. Unfortunately, it wasn’t near the engine as our original seats were, but at that point, we were just relieved to have a window seat and a confirmed flight. We didn’t have to pay anything for the rebooking, but Wizz Air didn’t offer any accommodation for the night, so we had to book a hotel ourselves. Upon returning home, I filled out the compensation claim form directly on the Wizz Air website—no need for third-party apps, which often take a commission. The process was simple and straightforward, and in less than 14 days, €500 was credited to our bank account (€250 each). If you’re facing a similar situation, remember your rights and go directly to the airline's complaint form for the best results.
