To say that Mike Churchill is enthusiastic about making gloves in America doesn't even begin to do him justice. The man wouldn't conceive of doing anything else. The Churchill Glove Co. was founded in Centralia, WA in 1895 by Mike's great-great-grandfather. Quitting now would be a complete shame to him; not to mention the fact that he has employees who have been working there for as long as thirty-five years. Sending them home in order to make a higher profit on imports just isn't an option for him. The company had some rough years for sure and survived for a while on exports to Europe and Asia (Americans were seemingly more concerned with cheap price tags than quality or product origin. This is slowly changing though, thanks to businesses like Churchill Gloves that produce authentic, long-lasting quality right here in the U.S. - something that now more and more now seems to elicit customer loyalty.
