Family camping in CT! We stayed at Hidden Acres Campground in Preston, CT for Colin’s birthday, then explored the Mystic Aquarium, Mystic Pizza, and downtown Mystic for a fun family adventure. In May 2025, our family celebrated a birthday with a return trip to Hidden Acres Family Campground—camping right on the river! 🌊🏕️ This trip had a perfect mix of camping and exploring. At the campground, we enjoyed all the amenities, relaxed by the water, and spent evenings around the campfire. Off-site, we made the most of Mystic, Connecticut, with highlights like the Mystic Aquarium, a slice at the world-famous Mystic Pizza, and time at a playground downtown. From campsite fun to birthday celebrations, this trip had it all.
