Pilatus PC-21, the Swiss aircraft that definitively replaces the C-101 and constitutes the 792 Squadron. This squadron makes up the Basic Flight School, whose mission is to provide phase II or basic aeronautical training to 4th year students who have successfully passed the previous phase. The purpose of the basic course is to select students by basic specialties (fighter and attack, transport, helicopters and RPAS). The basic course is composed of three sub-phases: mastery of the aircraft and aerobatic flight (transition), flight in closed formation (formations) and mastery of flight in instrument conditions (instruments). Este escuadrón conforma la Escuela de Vuelo Básica, que tiene como misión impartir la formación aeronáutica en su fase II o básica a los alumnos de 4º curso que hayan superado con éxito la fase anterior. El curso básico tiene como finalidad la selección de los alumnos por especialidades fundamentales (caza y ataque, transporte, helicópteros y RPAS). El curso básico se compone de tres subfases: dominio del avión y vuelo acrobático (transición), vuelo en formación cerrada (formaciones) y dominio del vuelo en condiciones instrumentales (instrumentos).
