Austin Perkins took the world by storm last season, where we witnessed the sensationally talented athlete, snatch the 74kg/75kg throne from the once ceaseless vice grip of the former three-time IPF World Champion, Taylor Atwood, where we, fortunately, witnessed Austin, break Taylor’s world record squat of 303kg, not once, but twice in the same season. First at the USAPL P3 Grand Prix and secondly at the USAPL Raw Nationals, with a stunning world world record squat of 313.5kg. Absolutely swept away his former world record squat of 305kg, just four months prior to his world record-setting performance at the P3 Grand Prix. Simply put, a KPI (Key Performance Indicator) score, which as being historically implemented within other fields, fundamentally tracks measurable performance/s. However, RPE1’s KPI score primarily focuses, at current, on the individual athlete/s comprehensive performance/s, where in which, variables such as: the amount of participated meet/s; total; squat, bench and deadlift amount; which are effectively compared both individually (i.e, athlete’s past performance/s) and systematically as a group (i.e., all recorded historic performances within the respective weight class). Including, the athlete’s success rates (reliability) pertaining to all three individual disciplines (squat, benchpress and deadlift) are systematically weighed, which in effect, ultimately, provides an ascribe KPI (Key Performance Indicator) score for the athlete/s. Such score can be taken as a significant indicator of the athlete/s performance throughout the season and/or meet performance. For example, a score of 100% means the athlete is individually performing at his/her most optimal. At current, the margin of error stands at ±10%.
