Price and Variants: The updated EcoSport is priced between Rs 8.04 lakh and Rs 11.67 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). It is offered in five variants: Ambiente, Trend, Titanium, Titanium+ and S. It also comes in the Thunder variant cosmetic package with both petrol and diesel engines but only a manual transmission. Engine and Transmission: It is offered with a choice of two BS6-compliant 1.5-litre engines: a petrol unit (122PS/149Nm) and a diesel unit (100PS/215Nm). While the petrol engine continues to be offered with the choice of a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox, the 1.5-litre diesel only gets the 5-speed manual option. The 1.5-litre petrol engine claims to deliver 15.9kmpl with the manual transmission and 14.7kmpl with the automatic gearbox, while the diesel model offers a claimed mileage of 21.7kmpl. Features: Ford’s sub-4m SUV gets features such as an 8- or 9-inch SYNC3 touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone integration, automatic climate control, auto projector headlamps, and cruise control. It also gets a push-button start, rain-sensing wipers, and a sunroof. Moreover, you also get paddle shifters in case you opt for the Titanium+ AT variant. The new FordPass connected car tech suite is offered as standard across all variants. Safety Features: The EcoSport gets dual front airbags, rear parking sensors, and ABS with EBD as standard across all variants. Meanwhile, features such as side and curtain airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchors, electronic stability control, traction control, emergency brake assist, and hill launch assist are only offered in the top-spec S variant. Rivals: It takes on the likes of the Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300, facelifted Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Nexon facelift and even the Honda WR-V.
