Here’s an easier and quicker way to prepare the famous Brazilian dessert made of coconut: the cocadas. Even if you do not have many culinary skills, you can easily succeed the realization of this delicious treat. It is a different and pleasant dessert for all coconut and sweetened condensed milk fans. Watch this recipe and find many others on our site: https://www.mybrazilianfood.com Ingredients: 1 can (397g) of sweetened condensed milk 100g of unsweetened flaked coconut 1 ½ cup of white sugar a little bit of margarine or butter Preparation: 1 - Butter the bottom of a baking tray upside down, or a kitchen countertop, or even a granite or marble cutting board. 2 - Mix all the ingredients together except the margarine in a saucepan and let it simmer. Stir constantly with a wooden or silicone spoon. You will notice that the color will change for a more golden brownish one. 3 - Try tilting the saucepan a bit, and see if the mixture begins to unstick from the bottom of the saucepan, the cocada is ready! 4 - Pour the cocada on the buttered surface. When the mixture is warm, take a big knife and cut it into squares or lozenges of about 1,5 inch each, but do not remove them from the surface. When the cocadas are totally cooled, you can place them on a serving plate or in a food storage container. Enjoy!
