Why we love Hill of Tarvit Mansion & Garden

Built between 1904 and 1908, Hill of Tarvit was occupied as a home for the Sharp family for just 40 years before being passed to the National Trust for Scotland. Largely unchanged from when it was first designed by the architect Sir Robert Lorimer, it offers a superb glimpse into the rapidly changing years of the first half of the 20th century. Lorimer also designed the landscaped gardens, with formal lawns, yew hedging, flowering borders and a sunken rose garden.
