This is the engine that almost didn’t make it. After pulling this motor from a junkyard, I discovered a severe bearing failure that damaged the crankshaft. The bearings were burned and the engine was on the edge of being scrap—but the machine shop stepped in and helped save the crank by cutting it to the maximum safe spec. Today, that same engine is going back into the car.
