Behind the scenes of the UK's AIDS tombstone advert of the 1980's

This footage (courtesy of BFI) shows a production team creating the infamous AIDS adverts of the 1980s, which were broadcast in the UK. The national advertisements were shown on television and depicted falling tombstones, along with the government's choice slogan: "Don't die of ignorance". Those impacted by the contaminated blood scandal have been widely critical of the ad's which increased fear and stigma.
