I teach Grotowski- Mirecka training. I learnt it directly from the Master. I have worked with Rena Mirecka for 18 years. Over these years I have developed it in the direction of dance. It is a creative training, which educates from the beginning in the composition of a performing action. Mine is an organic approach, where the body is placed at the centre of the study. I am Marco Balbi Dipalma. In 2004, I met Rena Mirecka, creator of the 'plastic exercises' and founding member of J. Grotowski's Teatr Laboratorium in 1967. Fascinated by her presence, training and ritual actions, I decided to follow her. I became in time her assistant and in 2017 leader of "The sun- the school of Rena Mirecka" at the Grotowski Institute in Wroclaw. For the past year I have been living in Varese and working as a performer and independent artist. It is a creative training, which educates from the beginning in the composition of a performative action. Mine is an organic approach, where the body is placed at the centre of the studio. I discussed the importance of technique a lot with Rena. 'Technique is needed so that you can trust yourself,' she told me. Technique is like language: training creates the grammar and vocabulary to speak. You can have a lot to say, but sometimes you don't have the words. I discovered that the creation of rhythmic body forms is a suitable tool to give expression to one's own experience. I called the workshop 'Feeling and Form' because the search for outer form means investigating one's inner space in the creation of performative actions. Form and feeling are inextricably linked in performance art. Art that focuses on the body and the human being.
