Today I wanted to something different with the Piranha. Instead of face-hugging the bakcs of my enemies I tried to go for a medium-range approach with Heavy Medium Lasers and Light Machine Guns. The playstyle deviates a little from the usual tactics. Due to the increased range you can play it extremely safe and engage at a distance of about 250 meters. The Heavy Mediums provide some good upfront alpha strike that opens up rear armor reliably. Followed up by a Light MG salvo you can deal some serious critical damage. As soon as the enemy is aware of your position you can then quickly dive to cover while they are still searching for a target directly behind them.
