"Catherine" M4A2E8 Sherman Tank

Valour Park Association teamed up with the Lord Strathcona’s Horse (Royal Canadians) Historical Troop to bring history back to life! For months, our members rolled up their sleeves to restore some of the regiment’s most iconic vehicles in time for their 125th anniversary on July 25, 2025. Valour Park Association has proudly partnered with the Lord Strathcona’s Horse (Royal Canadians) Historical Troop to restore several of their historic military vehicles in preparation for the regiment’s 125th anniversary on July 25, 2025. Among these treasures was Catherine, a 33-ton beauty that was in need of a full makeover. Over several months, dedicated members of the VPA worked closely with the LDSH (RC) Historical Troop, bringing Catherine back to life, alongside their M137 truck and three Ferret scout cars.
