Scenario Based Learning: How to Create Scenarios (with Examples and Templates!)

Learn how to create scenario-based learning with concrete examples and easy-to-use templates for how to structure your videos. Learn how to make animated content: https://www.ruedriis.com Scenario-Based Learning (SBL) is an instructional strategy that is extremely popular in online learning. Why? Because it allows the teacher to simulate real work challenges through e.g. animation videos. In this series of videos, I've given an example of how SBL can be created in Vyond, using animated video. I'm also providing 3 templates for how to structure your SBL training. To link the videos together, I'm using YouTube's end screens, but a very common tool that many instructional designers and eLearning developers use is Articulate Storyline. The theory behind Scenario-Based Learning comes from "situated learning" and "situated cognition" formulated by Lave and Wenger (1992) and Kindley (2002). Both theories support the idea of learning in the context where the knowledge is going to be used. Scenario-Based Learning benefits include better retention and recall of the taught material, higher engagement of the student, and saved cost if SBL is used as eLearning, as opposed to live training.
