We set out on a road trip from Nairobi to the coast of Kenya, but instead of going the typical route, we made a stop halfway—at Tsavo West, the largest and wildest national park in the country. This was my friend's first-ever safari, and we thought we knew what to expect. But Tsavo had other plans.
