Hello everyone! Welcome back to the Jam Looper Series, where we build simple, groovy loops and explore cool soloing ideas you can practice and make your own. In this second episode, I’ve created an 8-bar progression in A minor, and I’ll show you how to improvise using the Natural Minor scale together with the Blues scale. 🎶 I’ve recorded two solos as examples: The first uses the 1st Position and 1st Extended Position of A Natural Minor (root on the 6th string). The second uses the 2nd Position and 2nd Extended Position (root on the 5th string). You'll see the scale diagrams and improvisation tips pop up during the video to help guide your own jam session.
