The eclectic contents of Billie Piper’s Prada handbag includes a stone cold beauty classic: a Mac lipliner in Spice (Linda Evangelista’s shade of choice in the ’90s), worn almost to the nub. “I think I got a year out of that, that’s how often I use it,” says the actor and now filmmaker in episode 47 of British Vogue’s In the Bag series, shot at the Lanesborough. Far from abandoning her make-up bag in lockdown, she continued to apply her favourite lip liner for the school run, or “to open the door to the Amazon guy”. Piper’s other essentials? A copy of Deborah Levy’s The Cost of Living, the Fee Greening scarf she uses as a face mask, a supply of Maoam sweets for her children, and a love note from her boyfriend she never leaves the house without (“He’s gonna die at that!”).
